Conversation with Jess
Yesterday I did a photo-shoot that was inspired by Corrine Day, a photographer that did a photo shoot with Kate Moss, where they had a conversation whilst Corrine took the odd snap to see what unusual faces Kate Moss pulled.
I did the same and added my own touch. I had a conversation with my friend Jess where I took snaps whilst Jess spoke and these were the outcomes. I used a black and white background and edited the images with two different effects to see which ones came out better.
It was pretty hilarious with all the faces Jess pulled, it was good fun. I always enjoy editing the photographs after, looking over them and seeing which works and which didn't, is always very satisfying.
With these photographs I used my Sony a390 digital SLR to capture the priceless expressions and later edited them with an app called VSCO cam to get the effects. I added two effects to give an edgy yet vintage look that I wanted to capture, (which I hope I did).
Overall I'm satisfy with them, as I couldn't go wrong really with this photoshoot as I wanted to grasp the unexpected and unready expressions, that others may think during a regualar photoshoot (where everything should be flawless) as an imperfection. But the whole outcome I wanted from the photographs are exactly what I acquired, the naturalness and nothing fake or silly of an unanticipated moment.
This is completely different to how I usually work as I normally prefer to set up the scene and have everything exactly where I want them but this is completely opposite to that. I'm attempting to go more street photography and just capture images in the moment.

Coat Fest
COAT OBSESSION! That is what I'm going through at this very moment. I cannot stop buy coats as they draw me in and eat me up with how they are beautifully fitted, warm, cosy yet smart too. They call our to me like sirenes.
This coat is a purchase I made from my trip to London that's from Zara. I'm completely in love with this coat as it's been something that I've longed to search for but never found the perfect one. It cost me £89.99 that nearly choked me to death (that my parents still don't know about...) but it was unresistable. It's in the style of a classic yet casual style oversized coat.
My favourite outift to where with the coat is a simple dress, and my Dr Marten chelsea boots but the coat will go with anything (another reason why I adore it so much). But you could where it with a pair of skinny jeans with a pair of Oxford brogues and a silk cami top or just an elegant dress to sweap the evening.
Oversized coats has to be my favourite kind of coats especially for the winter or just whenever the weather turns cold and you need something to keep you warm and cosy. They are smart, comes in many different styles and can be worn with anything for that extra cover up. the oversized coat is a combination of history too, the modern oversized coat has summed up coats from the 50s, 60s and 80s to give it that classic yet modern look.

The Streets of London
A couple of weeks ago I took a trip down to London with a friend as an stretched out birthday bash. Of course I did some shopping and spent too much money and now my purse is put out of my reach (not exactly a good, responsible newly adult should do) but hey ho! I can a rocking time in Ye Olde London so just live whilst I'm still young.
Every time I go to London I always feel like I need to be torn away just as we leave because I fall in love with the magical paradise every time. I seriously cannot get enough of the luxury shops, the constant busyness of the streets and how peculiar everything is. The whole city so open there's no limits on what you can do (well maybe surfing on the beach), if you want to try different foods it's there or visit China Town or just a trip to look over the city overall on the London Eye, it's all sitting there being as amazing as it always is.
So all together I took as many shots as I could around London, from Oxford Street to Covent Gardens. We also stumbled across the National Portrait Gallery where they had displayed extraordinary pieces of work that was just so brilliant and with the time consuming detail that made it what it was. The paintings that hung there that really caught my eye was the portraits of famous celebrities such as Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith.
Overall the trip was very successful and we didn't get lost once. By the end me and my friend was shattered but very pleased with our purchases and how well the day was all together. But surly in the future very soon I'll be taking another train ride down to London just to get away from the stress and constant worry of my A Levels.

Isabella Blow
This has to be one of the first books I've bought for a long time. It's hard to fit in the time of reading but I really can't put this book down. Isabella Blow, she's my idol, my inspiration and a legend. If I could describe her it would be one of the hardest thing to do, she's just unbelievable and there's not enough words in the English dictionary to sum her up.
But I'd give it ago.
Isabella Blow is astonishing. When she still walked on the grounds of this Earth, all in the fashion world hailed to her. She was a goddess, someone who everyone wanted to please and wanted to be. As Isabella Blow was a stylist and a magazine editor of Tatler many people saw her very highly. She was a big role model with her eccentric style and outgoing personality so everyone wanted her to be wearing their clothes.
The book is written by her husband Detmar Blow, where he writes ever so passionately and endearing about her it brought tears to my eyes. Detmar explained every detail he knew about Isabella's life, explaining her difficult childhood and how somethings don't always go smoothly even though her she's from a highly respected, wealthy family.
But reading this book really draws me in, captures my attention 100%. I love discovering what her life was like but it still brings sadness as I would have loved to meet her. In the book it also explains how she couldn't have children and I know for sure she would have been a great mother.
Later this year is a exhibition that's dedicated to her and her strong fond for fashion as the exhibition will be displaying her classic, magnificent pieces of clothing that made her stand out and known for who she was. Even though the exhibition is months away, I'm still screaming inside like a child as I'm incredibly excited for the exhibition.
RIP Isabella Blow x

Me, Myself & I
With this blog I don't think I show enough structure but post the odd post when the time of excitement gets to me either it's a new dress or a road trip. So I've been doing some thinking that I think you should get to know me better and let me express to what kind of person I am and what my world includes.
Okay let's start from the beginning. I'm just a 18 year old girl who thrives and swims in the wonderful world of fashion. I live in world where I try and see everything to be unique and stunning but it's own way. Fashion is great love of mine. The way softness of velvet runs across my skin as I slip on a charming black velvet dress with fine detail of a pearl jeweled peter pan collar or the way the simplest of scarves can make that very outfit perfect with how it hangs of your neck and sitting flawlessly on your chest or finally finding that very pair of shoes that you've had in your head for the past few weeks so now can finally wear that exact dress with them to complete the whole package.
Fashion is just another form of art, as many people say or you may hear it's a way of how people express themselves. They're right, but there is so much more to it as well. Fashion is turning a thought into a creation, to let everyone else appreciate too. I see fashion to be a form of beauty, a form of time and to let your mind play tricks on you so you can create something that's never seen before, where some people may see as vile but for the unique ones to see as a master piece that will be part of history one day.
Photography. Photography is another way to let others experience what I see through my eyes. I sometimes do wish we could capture moments with a simple blink of an eye but if we did we wouldn't be able to capture moments with those "machines" we call cameras and widen our minds with different effects that produces with that individual camera and widen our minds with experimenting each one. I do photography on a regular basis so you would never miss moments I capture on this blog.
"A work of art is a unique result of a unique temperament", this very quote by Oscar Wilde I take into consideration whenever I produce a piece of artwork. I've always loved to draw and paint ever since I was young. Being an artist kind of runs in the family, through my mother and sister. Despite all of us having an enjoyment in art we still don't see eye to eye on the way we see art in general. My sister sees art as something pretty that she can copy and come up in her mind in matter of minutes where as I see art to be developed, to convey something and to be appreciated by the great detail the artwork consists. As I take Art and Photography at A Level currently my work is going to be a big part of this blog as well as my regular updates of the fashion situation and my latest buys.
So this is me.
Me as Leanne, a girl who's trying to find herself, make a name and look back at her life and say "Yes, I'm proud of what I've achieved"
