The Streets of London

A couple of weeks ago I took a trip down to London with a friend as an stretched out birthday bash. Of course I did some shopping and spent too much money and now my purse is put out of my reach (not exactly a good, responsible newly adult should do) but hey ho! I can a rocking time in Ye Olde London so just live whilst I'm still young.
Every time I go to London I always feel like I need to be torn away just as we leave because I fall in love with the magical paradise every time. I seriously cannot get enough of the luxury shops, the constant busyness of the streets and how peculiar everything is. The whole city so open there's no limits on what you can do (well maybe surfing on the beach), if you want to try different foods it's there or visit China Town or just a trip to look over the city overall on the London Eye, it's all sitting there being as amazing as it always is.

Well going to London, of course I brought my camera (I do try not to leave home without it), I couldn't help myself but take a few snaps to reminisce over when I return home. So I tried a few different techniques as my photography teacher suggested; she said why don't try "hip photography" or just randomly shooting at anything. So I thought I'd give it ago, so I'm snapping away on Oxford Street, as I waited for the underground and even when we sat down to eat. A nervous, worried wreck as I always am I was afraid the pictures weren't going to turn out as good as I hoped but glancing over them and seeing them in more detail I was pretty chuffed with the outcome. I even followed a really lush, hot guy at one point as he had such a distinctive, classic rugged yet incredibly jaw dropping look with his dapper patent brown boots, smart pea/military style coat and swarve brown quiffy hair as he smoking a cigarette so casually... It was a perfect photography I didn't want to miss. But hey, photography is about getting out there and not putting limits on yourself. Ever since I started photography when my dad bought me my first camera for my 16th birthday I feel like I've developed myself, I found something that I really take a passion in and not afraid to demonstrate what I really can do.

So all together I took as many shots as I could around London, from Oxford Street to Covent Gardens. We also stumbled across the National Portrait Gallery where they had displayed extraordinary pieces of work that was just so brilliant and with the time consuming detail that made it what it was. The paintings that hung there that really caught my eye was the portraits of famous celebrities such as Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith.

Overall the trip was very successful and we didn't get lost once. By the end me and my friend was shattered but very pleased with our purchases and how well the day was all together. But surly in the future very soon I'll be taking another train ride down to London just to get away from the stress and constant worry of my A Levels.
