What even is there to say about this years fall ready to wear collection? Fall is my favourite season of the year and these collection are amongst a few faves.

Louis Vuitton is bringing a snippet from the past with the use of polo necks/ turtle necks (or whatever you call it), the fitted short shift dresses or the block print skirts, I would call it the moment of the 60s with the modern 2014 touch. Coats are always a big part of my wardrobe, most girls will have a huge collection of shoes but with me it has to be coats, from tench, fur, cocoon or a mannish smart cut, I adore it, I will find a way to own it. Louis Vuitton has completed my love for coats with the figure cut at the waist, sharpness of the collars and the smooth cleanness of the fabric used as well as the lovely touch of a fur collar, I definitely wish to own one of these timeless pieces as a coat.

Alexander McQueen, an all time legend is what I can say, (may my idol rest in peace). Despite missing his unmistakable touch that he left in every piece of garment and outfit that he puts together when he was alive, his legacy can only live on and let others try and recreate his intricate creations. Sarah Burton completes another mission of trying to keep McQueen's legacy alive with her Fall'14 collection. I see her creations to be quite Stuart era inspired with the high necks, dark navy and black colours. The texture and patterns used in the collection is exquisite, very detailed and finely made that suits the fall season very well, giving a cold yet very appealing and makes you question about the collection which in my books is exactly right, if I question why I'm intrigued and why McQueen's work pulls me in then they're doing the exactly right thing.

Iris Van Herpen, the latest designer I've fallen for. Her work is very similar to McQueen's and makes me question why I'm so pulled in and attracted to it. She is a fairly young designer but her designs show much maturity and long years of experience. Herpen's collection for this fall has managed to wow me again with her futuristic style of cords and light fur fabric to recreate magnificent animals within her garments. This collection is all wrapped up perfectly, a consistent mixture of smart, clean cut cape coats and futuristic touch to her collars of her dresses. Herpen's work amazes me every time.
